House groups

As Hope Church grows bigger we believe that it is crucial that we grow smaller at the same time.   By meeting regularly with a smaller group we are able to achieve this whilst also meeting our five Purposes.

Fellowship: House groups provide a great environment to get to know a smaller group of people better.  Spending time, sharing meals, praying for one another and encouraging each other all help the church to grow warmer.

Discipleship: As we study the Bible, read a book, review a sermon or discuss a topic in a house group setting, we are able to challenge, grow and deepen our faith.

Worship: Meeting during the week helps us to bring the focus of our lives back to God. Whether we are singing, studying, praying or spending time with each other our focus is on God and are able to live better for God in all that we do throughout the week.

Service: Serving a small group can be done through attending regularly but it is also the best place to discover and develop gifts. As these gifts develop the church grows broader. Small groups often also find ways to serve the community outside the church.

Evangelism: Whether the group is geographical or is focused around a topic we are able to reach out both individually and as a group to those around us, locally or in our place of work. As we reach out further, the gospel message gets shared further.
