Hope Youth Group is our younger group for Years 7–9. We normally meet on Sunday evenings, 5.30 – 7.30 pm. We normally share a meal together before doing a Bible study, usually looking at what the Bible says about current issues such as peer pressure, bullying, family life, or school. We also look at Bible characters and the stories of Easter and Christmas. We then pray together and play games, do crafts of various kinds and do a quiz.
We have a regular Question Time so our young people can write down their questions about Christian life. We have a residential once a year and join in other events such as the Big Church day Out and our own church camp.
Every term we encourage the group to help put together a programme of Bible topics and fun activities. They also help to choose our community projects: we fund-raise for a different charity each term and also look for ways to be involved in our communities, serving others.
Our youth group is not just for Hope children, but anyone who would like to join, whether you are part of another church or not.
